💗 Fight the Good Fight — Even When the Pushback Hurts

We talk a lot about walking in purpose, stepping out in faith, and standing firm in the promises of God — but can we be honest for a second?
Sometimes the fight feels like too much.
The warfare. The resistance. The whispers of doubt. The tension in relationships. The mental heaviness that shows up the moment you decide to obey God.
We pray for peace, but pressure shows up.
We ask for breakthrough, and we get opposition.
We speak life, and discouragement hits back like a wave.
And if we’re not careful, we start blaming God… or the people around us… for the very resistance that’s meant to make us stronger.
But hear me: the pushback isn’t proof you’re off-track.
More often than not, it’s confirmation that you’re pressing into purpose — that you’re building spiritual muscle — that you’re waking up to the schemes of the enemy… and finally pushing back.
Recognize the Real Fight
Too often, we waste our energy fighting people, doubting God, or trying to control things we were never meant to fix in our own strength. But Scripture reminds us:
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”— Ephesians 6:12
The enemy wants you distracted. Offended. Drained.
He wants you blaming God or others so you don’t see the real attack. Because if you never recognize the war, you’ll never pick up your weapon.
But God…
He lets us feel the resistance — not to break us, but to build us.
To train our hands for war and our fingers for battle (Psalm 144:1).
To teach us how to endure, how to stand, and how to fight — with His strength.
Fighting Doesn’t Mean Failing
I get this one confused sometimes.
When life gets hard, we often assume something’s wrong.
But what if the fight is actually part of the path?
What if the tears, the delays, the friction, the “no’s,” and the closed doors aren’t signs of failure — but signs you’re gaining endurance?
“We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”— Romans 5:3–4
The enemy tries to wear you out. But God is building you up, sis! Let that sink in.
The struggle isn’t just happening to you — it’s working in you.
There’s a refining, a strengthening, a stretching that can’t come through comfort.
Stay Ready
Stay sober-minded. Stay alert. Stay watchful.
It’s time to get quicker at recognizing the enemy’s schemes.
Quicker to pray rather than complain.
Quicker to worship rather than worry.
Quicker to stand instead of spiraling into self-pity.
“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”— 1 Peter 5:8
That means we stay spiritually sharp.
Not hyper-fixated on warfare, but not blind to it either.
We don’t crumble under pressure — we armor up.
So Let’s Fight!
Not with bitterness.
Not with blame.
Not with your fists or your pride.
Fight with faith.
With truth.
With the Word of God on your tongue and fire in your spirit.
My husband always says, “What scripture are you standing on?”
And remember:
You’re not fighting for victory — you’re fighting from it.
Because Jesus already won.
So the next time resistance hits…
Don’t curse it. Discern it.
Lean into Jesus.
Stay rooted in truth.
And let the enemy regret the day he ever tried to shake your faith!
You were made for this fight.
And with God, you don’t just survive — you overcome.
