Statement of Faith
We believe in one true God, eternal in His existence, Triune in His manifestation—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and that He is sovereign and absolute in His authority.
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, in its entirety to be given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, infallible, authoritative, without error, as God’s revealed word to man.
We believe in the complete deity of our Lord Jesus Christ and in His supernatural conception and virgin birth. We believe He lived a sinless life and died a vicarious and atoning death.
We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return to this Earth in power and glory to rule and reign forever.
We believe in communion as regular observance for all believers to remember the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We believe in salvation of lost sinful man by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that each man must repent and that salvation is by sovereign grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as evidenced in the book of Acts, is given to every believer that asks, and it enables that Christian to live a holy, sanctified life of power.
We believe in water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior and that it is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
We believe in the present day ascension gift ministries of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher, and the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as supernatural phenomena..
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen 2:18-25.)
We believe that all sarcedotal acts are worship services, and therefore must comply with the statement of faith and by-laws of Covenant Life Church.
Sarcedotal acts include but are not limited to: Weddings, Funerals, Baptisims, Communion, Ordination and licensure.
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 10:9-10; 1 Cor 6:9-11.)
We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of Covenant Life Church.
In the fall of 2000, four families started praying about what it would look like to win the lost and make disciples of Christ to change North Texas and the world. Originally founded as Kingdom life Christian Center, on June 12th 2005, Covenant Life Church was born. We understand that a building is not the church, the people are the church. As we looked for a building to worship in with a growing community of believers, we rented schools, other church buildings, and even space in a shopping center. Under the leadership of Pastors Gerald & Sharon Parsons Covenant Life Church found a permanent place they could call their own at 423 N College Street in May of 2017. In January of 2018 our church began a new journey as Gerald & Sharon Parsons have stepped down as senior pastors and into Life Languages International as COO's. Long time youth pastor and associate pastor, Jon and Sarah Bell now serve as the lead pastors going forward for the future of Covenant Life. We are excited as we have been growing and seeing lives changed by the power of God. Life is abundant when you have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
