What We Believe
As members of THE Church (because church is bigger than the four walls we see on Sundays), we are constantly pursuing the calling to be fully devoted followers of Christ. We live a life based on the teachings of the Bible, and we are passionate about loving people right where they are. It's simple, love God & love people. We do that by being the Church seven days a week rather than going to church one day a week.
Statement of Faith
We believe in one true God, eternal in His existence, Triune in His manifestation—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and that He is sovereign and absolute in His authority.
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, in its entirety to be given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, infallible, authoritative, without error, as God’s revealed word to man.
We believe in the complete deity of our Lord Jesus Christ and in His supernatural conception and virgin birth. We believe He lived a sinless life and died a vicarious and atoning death.
We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return to this Earth in power and glory to rule and reign forever.
We believe in communion as regular observance for all believers to remember the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We believe in salvation of lost sinful man by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that each man must repent and that salvation is by sovereign grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as evidenced in the book of Acts, is given to every believer that asks, and it enables that Christian to live a holy, sanctified life of power.
We believe in water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior and that it is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
We believe in the present day ascension gift ministries of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher, and the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as supernatural phenomena..
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen 2:18-25.)
We believe that all sarcedotal acts are worship services, and therefore must comply with the statement of faith and by-laws of Covenant Life Church.
Sarcedotal acts include but are not limited to: Weddings, Funerals, Baptisims, Communion, Ordination and licensure.
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 10:9-10; 1 Cor 6:9-11.)
We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of Covenant Life Church.
